Britney Spears – Sometimes 

Time to whip out your backing dancers and all white outfits for this one – bonus points if you’re on a beachfront! From her debut studio album, ‘Sometimes’ is a 90s Bubblegum pop ballad that’s the ultimate shy girl anthem. A successful bop, ‘Sometimes’ peaked at number 3 on UK Official Singles Chart, and is Britney’s third best-selling single in the UK! We just can’t stop singing this karaoke track – probably “cause it sounds so good”!

Britney Spears – I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman 

Appearing on the soundtrack for 2002 American teen comedy-drama road trip film, Crossroads, (starring Britney Spears) ‘I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman’ is a powerful pop ballad all about the angst and heartache of the transitional stage of life that is adolescence. One of Britney’s favourite songs to perform, this is an inspirational 00s karaoke track that’ll have you singing from the heart.

Britney Spears – Circus 

All eyes on you in the centre of the ring, as you karaoke ‘Circus’! Metaphorically referring to her life as an entertainer and the public’s perception of her, Britney was inspired to create an entire album and tour with a circus theme after hearing ‘Circus’. Showcasing her confident persona, this is an upbeat dance-pop track with elements of pop rock that’ll have everyone singing-along. So prepare to unleash your true showmanship as you work the room! 

Britney Spears – Toxic

Twenty years later and we’re still addicted to this song! One of Britney’s signature songs, it’s hard to imagine anyone else singing it – especially as it was originally written with Janet Jackson in mind, and was initially offered to Kylie Minogue! With elements of bhangra music, this dance, techno pop anthem and its catchy hook are instantly recognisable – not to mention the music video lives rent free in our heads! An influential Y2K pop hit, this is a ubiquitous Britney karaoke favourite.

Britney Spears – Gimme More 

Grab your mic and get ready for a standing ovation, as this is a karaoke track that’ll have your audience asking for more! The lead single from her fifth studio album, Blackout, ‘Gimme More’ introduced the world to the ICONIC phrase, “It’s Britney, b*tch”. Peaking at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100, this dance-pop club anthem was a hit, becoming Britney’s second highest-peaking single at the time! Britney may have revealed in her memoir, The Woman In Me, that she thinks ‘Gimme More’ is her worst music video, but in our eyes there’s simply no denying its legendary memorability! 

Britney Spears – Criminal

It’s criminal how much we love this karaoke song! Appearing on Britney’s seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, this guitar and synth-driven pop ballad and its folk-style flute melody takes influence from the works of ABBA and Madonna, and is considered less aggressive than the other tracks on its album. Let’s face it… everyone loves a bit of a bad boy – maybe not to the same extent as Miss Spears, but it’s only right to join in and sing-along.

Britney Spears – Everytime 

Widely speculated as her response to ‘Cry Me a River’ post break-up with JT, ‘Everytime’ is a piano-driven pop ballad that appears on Britney’s 2003 fourth studio album, In The Zone. Featuring her breathy vocals, this song lyrically pleas for forgiveness from a former lover. Personal and vulnerable, this is a ballad that makes for a poignant karaoke moment. 

Britney Spears – Oops!…I Did It Again

Nominated for the Grammy for ‘Best Female Pop Vocal Performance’ in 2001, ‘Oops!…I Did It Again’ is another classic Britney karaoke bop that gets everyone singing-along! From its infectious chorus, to the impressive key change towards the end of the song, this is a track that truly showcases Britney’s rage and star quality. Don’t even get us started on the legendary red jumpsuit!

Britney Spears – Womanizer 

Marking a massive pop comeback for Britney, ‘Womanizer’ was a major global success, topping the charts in twelve countries – including the US, with this being her first single to reach  number one since ‘…Baby One More Time’ in 1999! Described by Britney as a girl anthem, this electro dance-pop track’s lyrics revolve around a womanizing man, and the protagonist who knows who he really is. With a captivating hook and melody and empowering lyrics, this is an essential Britney karaoke song we can’t get out of our heads!

“This is a story about a girl named Lucky”. Delving into the hidden struggles behind the glitz and glamour of fame (particularly loneliness), this chart-topping 00s Britney pop tune makes for a bubbly yet bittersweet karaoke anthem. Considerably its own self-fulfilling prophecy, mirroring Britney’s own stardom, ‘Lucky’ infuses emotional depth with catchy pop elements, and is an infectiously melodic song you just can’t help but sing…“She’s so lucky, she’s a star”!

Britney Spears – …Baby One More Time

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, ‘…Baby One More Time’ stands not only as a defining song of the late 90s teen-pop era, but as one of the best-selling singles of all-time – as well as one of the most influential music videos ever! Seriously, try and tell us you haven’t seen multiple people dressed as ‘…Baby One More Time’ Britney on Halloween – you can’t!
